Children’s Aids Society & MITM Family Fun Day Saturday, May 2, 2015

This Saturday at one of Children’s Aids Society‘s community schools, IS 218, they are hosting a health fair.  CAS MITM facilitators decided to enhance the event by inviting all our parent graduates and new parents for a MITM fun day. We will have a separate “play room” set up in the cafeteria with the 7 essential skills all having a station where parents can come and play games.

A highlight of the event, is that CAS just heard that the Mayor of Children and Youth, Ms Pia Allerslev will be visiting the school that day and will come to our exhibit so that we can talk about Mind in the Making.

it’s an open event. The health fair is from 8:30-3:30 and the MITM games will only be open from 10-12.

Family Fun Day

Mind in the Making is a learning journey created by Ellen Galinsky. The eight modules share information about the science of how young children learn best. Each module covers one of the essential skills.

Family fun day is a time to play games and learn activities that help to promote your child’s development of these seven essential skills.
